There are still millions of Americans who believe that school shootings only happen in our country. It’s not entirely their fault. After all, they’ve been fed this lie by the mainstream media since the 90s. To the liberal media’s credit, they’ve done an excellent job of distorting the truth and access to information. The recent shooting in Crimea is a great example.
A Deadly School Shooting
On October 17, the city of Kerch in Crimea suffered a terrible tragedy. An 18-year-old maniac (who we won’t name) used homemade explosives and a rifle to massacre as many people as he could. When he was finished, he turned the rifle on himself. Pictures and information released so far suggest that the shooting was styled after the Columbine massacre here in America.
By the end of the day, 21 were dead (including the shooter), and more than 60 were wounded. At least 10 are still in critical condition, and the final death toll may yet rise.
The school that was attacked is Kerch College, but being Russian, it was populated with teenagers aging 15 and up. Of the dead, 15 were teenagers and 5 were adults. As the city reels in the aftermath of tragedy, Ukraine and Russia wasted no time blaming each other for the terror. As of yet, no official motive for the shooting has been released.
The Same Old (non)Story
Plenty of time has passed since the shooting happened. Is this the first you’re hearing about it? The media has become almost boring in their predictability. School shootings clearly happen outside of the U.S., but they can’t acknowledge that lest they harm their running narrative. This is not and never has been a uniquely American problem. The scope of this latest shooting is just more proof on the pile.
Only, that’s not the extent of how this story undermines the mainstream message. It isn’t just that a shooting happened in Europe. The fact that it happened in Crimea is extra embarrassing. That’s the province that Obama happily ceded to Russia back in 2014. He refused to refute Russia’s sovereignty in the region (after they took it by military force).
Now, the Crimean people are clearly suffering in yet another way, and at least some of the blame falls at his inaction. His lack of response to the Crimean annexation is possibly the most embarrassing blunder of his career — one that is rife with deadly and embarrassing blunders.
That’s still not the extent of how this story hurts the mainstream media. Since Crimea is under Russian law, they’re under Russian gun control. That’s another big blow.
Russian Gun Laws
An uneducated person might assume that Russia has lax gun laws. Considering their long history of mob crime and gun violence, it’s a reasonable assumption. The simple fact is that Russian gun control is far MORE STRICT than anything in the U.S. It is illegal to own a gun in Russia without a permit. Obtaining such a license is quite a challenge. Applicants undergo thorough criminal and mental health screenings.
They also have to display knowledge and skill in handling and storing firearms. Even with all of those measures, each permit also has to be approved by local law enforcement. Generally speaking, the permits are only granted for hunting and sports. In rare cases, one might be granted for self-defense.
No matter the reason, the license only gives you legal access to owning a gun. It does not provide the right to carry the weapon. Outside of hunting and sanctioned sporting events, carrying a firearm is illegal in Russia. Oh yeah, Russia has also banned magazines that carry more than 10 rounds.
None of these regulations saved a single life last Wednesday.
We’ve completed enough laps in this discourse by now. The left has outright lied on every level regarding guns. They know that none of their proposed regulations will save lives. They know that disarming good people only puts them at greater personal risk.
They don’t stick to the agenda out of apathy. A lack of caring about you isn’t the problem. They actively want you to be at greater risk. They want you to be defenseless. If you lose your autonomy, you will become permanently dependent on their government. That has always been the agenda, and it will never change. If there is such a thing as single-issue voting, your right to bear arms should be that single issue. In this, there is no compromise and no excuses. Get out and vote on November 6th.

Tell the left and the media that I have plenty of sharp sticks they can sit on.
Of course the anti gun media will never report this it shows that even in a nation with virtually no legally armed private citizens criminals can still get or make guns to use in these kind of crimes as well as the fact they try and maintain that it is Americas “gun culture” (a fictitious phrase used to label anyone who expects their constitutional rights protected.) that is the cause of such violence despite all the irrefutable evidence that the TOOL chosen by the criminals are not the cause.
There actions are like trying to stop flooding by outlawing rain because no matter what laws are passed no matter how strict the government gets in infringing on any of the rights of the people in the name of PUBLIC SAFETY or NATIONAL SECURITY criminals will still get or make guns to use in their crimes.
Remember we heard little if anything just a weeks ago when a criminal in LONDON used a full auto gun to commit the crime. Once again because it showed that LAWS are about punishing people AFTER they violate them not PREVENTING the crime from happening in the first place. The few laws that do exist that might have prevented some of the shootings were IGNORED by the authorities charged with enforcing them because of how Young the criminals were. The were more concerned with RUINING their future with a police record for violating those laws or lawsuits over daring to question what they were doing than finding out or stopping what they were actually planning to do.
Despite the draconian laws in Russia, someone managed to get a firearm and make some explosives. This crap happens all over the place, not just in the USA. This should be a wakeup call, people…. Vote against ANYONE seeking to curtail firearm rights.
